Clifford R. O'Dell

Cuyahoga Falls- Clifford R. O’Dell, 76, passed away in the early hours of June 8, 2024, surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Lakewood,OH, Cliff attended Lakewood High School, where he met his future wife Lauren. After graduation, Cliff enlisted in the Air Force, where he honorably served for 4 years. Following his military service, Cliff took a job in the receiving unit of Fazio’s, eventually retiring after 30 years. He also served as a volunteer auxiliary policeman for the City of Lakewood, as well as working several other secondary jobs.

Outside of work, Cliff was a passionate fan of Cleveland sporting teams, especially the Cleveland Indians, since he played baseball from childhood through high school. His love of sports could also be seen when he coached basketball, baseball, softball, and track and field. Cliff also enjoyed fishing and watching his children and grandchildren in various athletic contests and musical performances. He also was always up for a road trip.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Lauren (Rowe); children, Heather Larsen, Molly O’Dell (Kathleen), Nolan O’Dell (Bill Gilley), and Kyle O’Dell (Emily); grandchildren Erinn and Liam Larsen and Zach and Grace O’Dell; brother Lloyd O’Dell II (Sue); in-laws Tracy Rowe (Becky), Ann Fisher, Megan Rowe (David Blank), Gillian Deal (Charles), and Brady Rowe (Elva Maas); and several nieces and nephews.

Cliff was preceded in death by his parents Lloyd and Florence O’Dell, father- and mother-in-law Dale and Peggy Rowe, brothers-in-law Riley Rowe and Kelly Rowe, sister-in-law Ellen Lorenz, nephew Todd Rowe, and son-in-law Kenyon Larsen.

A memorial gathering to honor Cliff’s life will take place July 22 from 10:00 am until services at 11:00 am. Burial will take place shortly after at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family would encourage donations to Cuyahoga Falls Good Neighbors.
