Constance Corrado

CUYAHOGA FALLS - Constance "Connie" Corrado, 91, passed away peacefully on December 16, 2015. She resided in Cuyahoga Falls for the past 55 years. Born in Ashland, Ohio in 1924, graduate of Ashland High School, Class of 1942. She served in the Army Cadet Nurse Corps during WWII. In 1945 she graduated from Mt Sinai School of Nursing, Cleveland, OH with her RN designation. She worked as a surgical nurse for over 45 years; many of those years employed by City Hospital in Akron. She spent the last 20 years of her career as the surgical nurse for Dr. Leon Wyant, DDS in Cuyahoga Falls.

In her retirement, she was an active member of the Cuyahoga Falls Chapter of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution. She was very proud of her heritage and a true patriot. She also was a member of the Cuyahoga Fall's Historical Society, an active member of St Luke's Lutheran Church in Cuyahoga Falls and an active participant in the Ashland High School, Class of 1942, monthly luncheons.

Preceded in death by her husband, Carl A."Duke" and daughter-in-law, Shirley A., she is survived by her children, Terry L., Dennis A. (Kathy) and Candace J. (Todd) Cea, grandchildren, Terry J. (Beth) Corrado; Laura E. (Joe) Kovach, Lauren Cea and Ashley Cea; great-granddaughter, Eloise A. Corrado; many cousins, nephews, nieces, in-laws and friends. All who will miss her smiling face and gentle nature.

Family would like to thank the staff of The Village at St. Edward for making her life so comfortable. In particular, the aids on the 3rd floor of Assisted Living who always showed her great kindness, love and respect. We are forever thankful for your assistance.

Friends may call from 9-10:30 AM on Monday December, 21, 2015 in the Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home 1930 Front St. Cuyahoga Falls, OH, 44221, where her funeral service will be held at 10:30 AM the same day. Private interment will be at the Ashland Cemetery, Ashland OH.
