Cynthia Kay Rich, 64 passed away November 30, 2016 after a courageous battle with Alzheimer's.
Cynthia was born in Akron, Ohio to Alfred and Juanita (Warner) Heiser and graduated from Tallmadge High School. She worked for Toys by Rizzi and the Hobby Center. Her joy was taking care of her four children as well as grandchildren and her friends' children. She was a member of St. Martha's and later St. Bernard Catholic Church.
Preceded in death by her parents and brothers Wayne and Little Al Heiser. She is survived by her husband of 41 years, James and children; James (Amy) Rich of Stow, Phillip (Courtney) Rich of Copley, Amanda (Derek) Gordon of Cuyahoga Falls, and Eric Rich of Akron; grandchildren, Gerry, Maggy, Nathan, Sammy, Jacob, Kaylee, Abbie, Nathaniel; sisters, June (Ray) Paxton, Eve (Al) Adams, Mary Caisbeir, Bonnie (Tom) Fairbee, Sue (Dale) LaPointe, Anita (Rick) Thrasher and many nieces, nephews and friend.
The family would like to thank the staff and hospice at National Church Residence for their care and compassion.
Friends may call from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Sunday, December 4 in the Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home, 1930 Front St, Cuyahoga Falls. A Funeral Mass will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Monday December 5 at St. Bernard Catholic Church, 44 University Ave, Akron OH, Fr. Frank Basa officiating. Interment will be at Northlawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of other remembrances memorials may be made to Alzheimer's Association, 70 W Streetsboro St, Suite 201, Hudson, OH 44236 or National Church Residence, 300 E Bath Rd, Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44223.
