Dale Novy

CUYAHOGA FALLS - Dale G. Novy, 90, died December 5, 2010. Mr. Novy was born in Akron and had resided in Cuyahoga Falls for 60 years. He retired in 1982 as Manager of International Operations for Goodyear Tire and Rubber with over 45 years service and was a Veteran of WWII having served as a Captain in the U. S. Army. He was a 65 year member of Adoniram-Joppa Lodge 517 F&AM and a member of the Goodyear Hunting Club. He was an avid hunter and outdoorsman and was a skilled photographer for which he had won several awards.

Preceded in death by his wife, Helen S. and best friend, Stan Howdyshell, he is survived by Stan's son, Don, who had been like a son to Dale. He is also survived by Don's wife, Cindy and many loving neighbors who looked out for him and of whom he was very fond.
Friends may call from 5:30 to 7:00 pm Wednesday Dec. 8 in The Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home 1930 Front St. Cuyahoga Falls where Adoniram-Joppa Lodge 517 will conduct a Masonic Service at 5:00 pm Wednesday, Dec. 8 and a Funeral Service will be conducted at 11:00 am Thursday Dec. 9. Interment Chestnut Hill Memorial Park. In lieu of other remembrances, memorials may be made to Haven of Rest Ministries, P. O. Box 547 Akron, OH 44309-0547.
