Dallas Amos

CUYAHOGA FALLS -Dallas F. Amos, 89, a man who lived a life honoring his faith, his family and his country died December 27, 2008. Dallas leaves the love of his life, Berniece "Bea" after 68 years of marriage. Dallas proudly served in the U. S. Army during WWII. At this time in history, he earned a Purple Heart while an Army Ranger in the South Pacific Theater. Dallas retired from the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company after 42 years in the machine shop/engineering division.
Many years of enjoyment with family and friends were had by all at Cinnamon Lake after Dallas and Bea purchased property and later built their retirement home on "the lake". Dallas was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church and American Legion Post # 611.
A gentle man with endless love for his family, he will be missed by all.
Special thanks to the caring and compassionate staff in the Memory Care Unit of Traditions at Bath Road for all they have done while caring for Dallas and his family.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Patricia Carter; parents, Ross and Sylvia; brother, Donald and sisters, Opal Musser and Orvetta Weaver and in addition to his wife is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Michael and Toni and Steven and Suzanne, all of Cuyahoga Falls; daughter and son-in-law, Kathi and Ronnie Rusian of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; grandchildren, S. Sgt. Drew U.S.Army, Lauren (Jason) and Allison Amos, Crystal Grant, Misty Langmeyer and Joshua, Aaron (Hailey) and Benjamin (Sakura) Amos; 5 great-grandchildren and sisters, Harrietta Showalter of Cuyahoga Falls and Evelyn Houdashelt of Columbus.

The Family will receive friends from 5:00 to 8:00 pm Tuesday in The Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home 1930 Front St. Cuyahoga Falls. A Memorial Service will be conducted at 11:00 am Wednesday in Redeemer Lutheran Church 2141 5th St. Cuyahoga Fall, OH 44221, Rev. Ryan Honeycutt officiating. Final resting place Oakwood Cemetery. In lieu of other remembrances, memorials may be made to his church.
