Darlene Dayton

CUYAHOGA FALLS -Darlene I. Dayton (nee Williams) was born Aug. 16, 1931 and passed away May 27, 2005. She went on ahead of us to join her loving husband of 53 years, Joseph S., a son Chris and a daughter, Carol, her mom and dad, Hazel and Franklin Williams, sister Lucy and brothers Red, Kenny, Ted, Frank and Jack Williams. She'll be there with open arms to greet us when we too make the journey home to be with God.

She leaves behind her loving children, Gloria (Wayne) Blackburn of Medina, Jack (Linda) Dayton of Ravenna, Richard (Kathy) Dayton of Wylie, Texas, Clayton Dayton of Ontario, Oregon, Barb (John) Taylor of Phoenix, AZ, Cindy Herron of Cuyahoga Falls, Danny (Sharon) Dayton of Inglis, FL, Frank (Deon) Dayton of Akron; sister, Pearl Edwards of Akron and sister-in-law, Dolores Williams of Mango, FL. She also leaves 22 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews and members of the New Apostolic Church. She will be missed by all who knew her gentle soul.

Darlene was retired from Atco Surgical Supports and was a member of the Women of the Moose, Ravenna and a member of the New Apostolic Church of Stow since 1958. She was a devoted, loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
The Family will receive friends from 5:00 to 8:00 pm Wednesday, the 1st of June at the Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home 1930 Front St. Cuyahoga Falls. Service will be held at the New Apostolic Church 3541 Elm Rd. Stow on Thursday, June 2, at 7:00 pm. A fellowship will follow at the church. Burial will be at the Oakwood Cemetary on Friday, June 3 at 10:00 am. Anyone wishing may attend and meet with the family after at the residence.
