David Crolley

CUYAHOGA FALLS - David D. Crolley, 72, went home to be the Lord on October 4, 2016 after a courageous battle with cancer. He was a beloved Husband, Father, Brother, Grandfather and Uncle. Dave will be missed by all who knew him because of his Kindness, Friendship and Love. Dave never met a stranger and would talk to anyone about anything. Dave loved his time spent with Family and Friends especially the Friday night Pizza dinners. Dave loved making his famous pancakes for his grandson Liam, and fishing with Trent and Liam. Dave had a passion for Woodworking and would talk shop with all. Dave was a very talented carpenter and gifted teacher.

Dave was in Sales at Viking Machinery and Tool for 23 years. After leaving Viking, Dave worked at Hartville Hardware in the tools department until 2006. Dave's love of tools and woodworking continued as he taught wood shop at Kent State University through 2015. He continued his life of service by volunteering to teach carpentry at Immaculate Heart of Mary School in Cuyahoga Falls where he loved working with his students and spending time with his grandson, Liam.

One of Dave's proudest moments was becoming a Grandfather to beloved Grandsons, Liam Matthew 9, Ethan Levi 3 mo and granddaughter, Elysia Ann 2 years. Dave loved playing with his grandchildren and they were all smiles when they saw their Papa. Dave was looking forward to becoming a grandfather for the fourth time to daughter, Kim and son-in-law, Joon.

Dave was preceded in death by parents, Dennis and Ruth Crolley (Pappy and Granny); sister, Susie Wheeler; brother, Dennis and sister-in-law, Sue.
Dave is survived by wife, Marcie; brother, Richard; son, Adam (Colleen); son, Nathan (Lauren); son, Steve; daughter, Kim (Joon) and grandchildren, Liam, Elysia and Ethan.
Many nieces, nephews and friends of his children to whom he was a father figure too.
He will be missed by all.
