CUYAHOGA FALLS - David J. Derita, 84, passed away December 11, 2008. Mr. Derita lived in Cuyahoga Falls most of his life before moving to Twinsburg. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in WWII and retired from Chrysler, previously working for Falls Stamping & Welding. He loved to bowl and golf.
Preceded in death by parents, Joseph & Adelina; wife, Elnora; daughter, Barbara Ann; and brothers, Carl and Andrew; he is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Peggy & Neal Holderman; grandchildren, Rachel (Tim) Marshall, Ryan Holderman, Sheila DeCamp and Wendy Hecht and their father, Gary Ross; great grandchildren, Andon, Ashton and Hanna; special friend, Carolyn Payne and family; brothers, Eugene (Elsie), William (Donna), Albert, Michael (Bonnie); sister, Betty Bowman; sister-in-law, Norma and many nieces & nephews.
A Funeral Service will be conducted at 2:00 pm Monday in the Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home, 1930 Front St., Cuyahoga Falls, Pastor Fred Webb officiating. Friends may call beginning at 1:00 pm Monday. Interment Northlawn Memorial Gardens. A Military Service will be conducted by American Legion Charles Faust Post 281.
