TALLMADGE- David A. Stump, 68, passed away December 11, 2017. Life time resident of the Akron area except for 11 years spent in London, England. He served his country in the U.S Army, worked for Goodyear and Motor Wheel and then for Operation Mobilization.
David was an upright man with a wry sense of humor and a heart that overflowed with generosity toward friends and strangers alike. He was a world traveler who loved exploring new cultures; he and his wife spent over a decade running Manna House, a Christian quest house outside London. After returning to Ohio in 2013, David and his wife continued to share their gift of hospitality by opening their home to missionaries, friends and especially international students, to whom David was often a father figure. David was a man who loved to pray and serve God. He lived life fully, and in the hour of his death, had no regrets.
Preceded in death by his parents, Genevieve and Charles Stump; brother, Randall; he is survived by his wife, Judith of 43 years; brother, Charles; sisters, Jeannie Bochette and Shirley Stump and many nieces and nephews.
