David Thompson

CUYAHOGA FALLS - David E. Thompson, 68, passed away March 29, 2016.
Mr. Thompson was born in Mingo Junction, OH, graduated from Mingo Junction High School and served in the US Army. He then graduated from Jefferson Technical College and was a Chrysler engineer at the Twinsburg Stamping Plant where he was a member of UAW Local 122. He was an avid golfer in a number of golf leagues in the area, ace card player in the Senior's Euchre Club and a movie aficionado. He was a beloved brother, uncle, father, adored papa and dear friend.

Preceded in death by his wife, Susan; parents, Clarence and Mary Thompson; sister, Mary Alice Moses and uncle, Andy Tomochik; he is survived by his sons, Douglas M. (Tina) Thompson of Virginia Beach, and David Andrew Thompson of Cuyahoga Falls; grandson, Kristofer Thompson; sister, Shirlie A. McClain and nieces, nephews and friends.

Per Dave's request cremation has taken place. Friends and family may call from 1:00 to 3:00 pm Saturday, April 2, in the Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home, 1930 Front St, Cuyahoga Falls. Military Honors will be conducted by the American Legion Charles Faust Post 281.
