Delphia Ann Lowe

Delphia Ann Lowe, 92, of Cuyahoga Falls, passed away peacefully on November 9, 2024.

Delphia was born on September 20, 1932 in Akron to the late Harry and Dorothy Jones. She attended Cuyahoga Falls High School and was a 1950 graduate. Delphia also attended Kent State University. She met her future husband, William, as camp counselors and were married in 1952. They shared 66 years of marriage until his passing in 2018.

Delphia was an 80 year member of First United Methodist Church of Cuyahoga Falls and was a founding member of the Wesley Sunday School class. She also was an active member of United Methodist Women and the Alter Guild. Mom was a volunteer and advocate for Good Neighbors and like her husband William, she was a social justice warrior who instilled in their children the view of standing up for what you believe in. Delphia was also a long-time member of the Northampton Hill and Vale Garden Club and was a Girl Scout leader for her daughters. She enjoyed her time traveling.....especially cruising, antique collecting, the Tuesday morning church bowling league, and being with her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband William L. Lowe and her parents, Harry and Dorothy.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Becky (Michael) Higgins, Sandy Rouse, and Bill (Kathy) Lowe; grandchildren, Sandy, Jennifer, Laura, Michael II, Lisa, Taylor, and Billy; great-grandchildren, Oliver, Nolan, Emerson, Harper, Willow, Michael III, Addison, Isla, Blake, and Clarke; sister, Phyllis Johnson; and brother, Robert (Barbara) Jones.

A private memorial service will be held at the family's convenience. In Lieu of flowers, the family recommends a donation be made to Cuyahoga Falls Good Neighbors, P.O. Box 233, Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio 44222. Mom, you left us with so many good memories. You will always be in our hearts.
