Dennis Lee Robart, 68, of Akron, Ohio, passed away on May 24, 2024, in Akron, Ohio.
Dennis was a beloved Son, Husband, Father, Uncle, and Grampa. He was a dual business owner, a Deputy Sheriff, and a US Marshal. He lived a full life without regrets, always on his own terms. Known for his ability to engage in conversations with anyone about anything, Dennis was loved by many and will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate to know him. His greatest pride in life was his Granddaughter EmmaLouise.
Dennis is survived by his wife Valerie of 46 years, his Son Denny, his daughter Heather, his Granddaughter EmmaLouise, brothers Don (Cecilia) Robart, Sam (Sharon) Robart, sisters Denise (Jimmy) Foto, Betty Jane (Bobby) Carroll, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Don Robart and mother Jean (Brill) Mann.
In his career, Dennis was the Owner of Budget Satellite from 1978 to 2006. He served in various law enforcement positions, starting with the Hiram Police Department in 1979, then as a Deputy Sheriff for Geauga County, and later in Corrections, retiring after 32 years of service. Despite retiring, he remained active as a US Marshal until his passing.
During his spare time, Dennis enjoyed working at Riverside Range, indulging in his passion for guns. He was also an FFL Dealer with Steelwater Firearms and cherished hunting with his Son.
A service in memory of Dennis will be held at Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio. The visitation will take place on Thursday, May 30th, from 5-8 pm, with the funeral service on Friday at 12:30 pm.
Dennis will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
