Dennis Zimmerman

CUYAHOGA FALLS - Dennis E. Zimmerman, 67, passed away April 8, 2010 after a lengthy illness. Mr. Zimmerman was born in Palo Alto, California and has resided most of his life in the Silver Lake and Cuyahoga Falls area. He graduated from Silver Lake Grade School and was a 1961 graduate of Cuyahoga Falls High School, where at 15 he met his wife Pamela in driver's education class. He worked in the trucking industry and was past president of the Astronomy Club of Akron.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Pamela, son Jim Zimmerman of Cuyahoga Falls, daughter Kelly Zimmerman Frame (John) of Kent; grandchildren, Dennis "Ken" Zimmerman and Emily Zimmerman and mother-in-law Mary Louise Atleson.

Friends may call from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Monday, April 12 in the Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home, 1930 Front St, Cuyahoga Falls and one hour prior to an 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 13 Service, Rev. Stephen Gehlert officiating. Interment Oakwood Cemetery. The family requests donations to the Cuyahoga Falls Historical Society, PO Box 186, Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44222 in his memory.
