CUYAHOGA FALLS - After a brief illness, Dianna L. Gramley, 67, passed away on Saturday August 7, 2021. Dianna was born on March 4, 1954, in Akron, Ohio. Dianna attended a total of 22 different schools, eventually graduating from Cuyahoga Falls High School in 1972. In high school Dianna worked at Red Barn on E. Cuy. Falls Ave. After high school she was an operator for Ohio Bell, and a pool supervisor at the Tallmadge YWCA. Then she became the Building Manager of the YWCA. During her time there she was featured in a video ad with music by Rascal Flatts, “Everyday”. Dianna later went to work for the American Red Cross as an Aquatics Director for Summit and Portage County pools. She later became a Regional Aquatics Director for four states. She was also an associate member of the Falls Cancer Club. Dianna’s loves were cats, knitting, reading, anything Elton John, wearing flip flops, being at the ocean in North Carolina, playing euchre, the Cleveland Browns and bowling at Midway Lanes.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Lois Irene Williamson, and her father George Williamson.
Dianna will be missed by her husband of 43 years, Dale; daughter, April Gramley of Denver, CO; sister, Samantha (Tony) Emilio; nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Memorial calling hours will be on Monday August 16, 2021, between 4 pm and 7 pm. A funeral mass will be on August 17, 2021, at 10am, at Immaculate Heart of Mary, 1905 Portage Trail in Cuyahoga Falls, OH. There will be a private family graveside service at Northampton Cemetery at a later date.
In lieu of other remembrances memorials may be made in Dianna’s name to the Humane Society of Summit County, 7996 Darrow Rd, Twinsburg, OH 44087, or the Falls Cancer Club P.O. Box 3244 Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44223.
