STOW - Dixie L. Esker, 76, passed away surrounded by her family on December 19, 2015.
She was born in Brisbon, Pennsylvania to Harry and Virginia Britten. Dixie has lived in Stow for the past 48 years and was the owner of her own cleaning business. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church of Cuyahoga Falls. Dixie was deeply loved by many and will be missed by all who knew her.
Preceded in death by her father, she is survived by her husband of 59 years, Carl; children, Karla Conway of Palm Harbor, FL, James (Melinda) Esker of Odessa, FL, John Esker of Akron, Carl Esker of Cuyahoga Falls, Paula (Duane) Bunker of Trinity, FL and Michelle Waickman of Stow; grandchildren, Sean, Ryan (Nancy), Jessica (Chris), Jamie, Jordan, Isaac, Brandon, Jared, Brittany (Brandon), Alex, Ethan, Zachary, Johnna (Tim), Jason (Mary), Olivia, Lauren and Sophia; twelve great-grandchildren; mother, Virginia Williams; brothers, Gary Britten, Charles (Gale) Williams, Nelson Williams, Curtis (Shirley) Williams and Jack (Cheryl) Williams; sister, Cheryl (Don) Papendry and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Memorial calling will be held from 6-8 pm on Monday December 28, 2015 in the Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home, 1930 Front St, Cuyahoga Falls. A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 11 AM on Tuesday December 29 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 1761 Second St, Cuyahoga Falls, Fr. Jarod Orndorff officiating.
