Donald Summers

CUYAHOGA FALLS - Donald Summers passed away September 29, 2009. Mr. Summers was born March 11, 1925 in Cuyahoga Falls where he resided for over 60 yrs. He was a member of the First Christian Church of Cuyahoga Falls and Star Lodge 187 F&AM and was a Veteran of WWII having served with the U. S. Army. He had worked as a mechanic for the Summit County Engineers and retired from Alltel after 14 yrs.

He was preceded in death by his son, Dale Edward Summers and is survived by his wife of 60 years, Ruby; children, David (Barbara) Summers of Pinehurst, North Carolina, Patricia D. Summers of Ravenna, and Bruce Summers of California and his beloved granddaughter Olivia Graesser.

Friends may call from 7:00 to 9:00 pm Thursday at the Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home, 1930 Front St., Cuyahoga Falls, where a Funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 pm Friday, Rev. Gail Lindsey officiating. In lieu of other remembrances memorials may be made to the First Christian Church 2253 3rd St. Cuyahoga Falls , OH 44221 or the Falls Firefighters and Community Society P.O.
