Donald Thomas

CUYAHOGA FALLS - Donald B. Thomas, 88, passed away November 6, 2010.
Mr. Thomas was born in Cuyahoga Falls and was a life long resident. He graduated from Cuyahoga Falls High School in 1940 and served with the US Army during WWII. He worked for Goodyear Aerospace in Technical Publications retiring with 42 years of service. He was a member of the Akron Baptist Temple and was a great husband and father to his family.

Preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Irene and sisters, Jean Thomas and Virginia Tallentire, he is survived by his children Susan (William) Wilkinson of Columbus, Barbara Thomas of Twinsburg, Deborah (Clark) Samodell of Brimfield and David J. Thomas of Palm Beach, FL; grandchildren, Michelle (Hubert) Fonte, Megan (Trent) Lindsey, Eric Samodell and Luke Samodell; 6 great-grandchildren including Zachary Wilkinson; good friends, Roy and Robin Gerlach and Jeff and Ann Gosser, both of Cuyahoga Falls and many nieces, nephews and friends.

There will be no calling hours. A Funeral Service will be conducted at 1:00 pm Tuesday November 9th in the Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home, 1930 Front St, Cuyahoga Falls, Pastor Cole Tawney officiating. Interment Oakwood Cemetery.
