Donna Egersdorfer

CUYAHOGA FALLS - Donna Lee Egersdorfer, 67, of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, died peacefully at her home in the comfort of her family on February 9, 2011.
Donna Lee was born on April 7, 1943 in Ligonier, Pennsylvania to Thelma Louise Kastner. She was raised by her mother and step-father, Ralph Weller. She grew up in Ligonier and graduated from Ligonier High School in 1961. She married Geza Egersdorfer, Sr. on November 22, 1963 in Akron, Ohio.

Donna had owned and operated Gophers Ohio X-press, a courier delivery service from 1983 until retiring in August of 2010 due to ill health.
Donna was well-known as "Mama Eggs" to many area kids growing up. She had tirelessly volunteered her time with the PTA and designing costumes for the Cuyahoga Falls High School music programs. She was an adored member of the Books and Bottle Club and the Hungarian Club.
Donna had a zest for travel, and enjoyed dancing, slot machines, playing cards, and going to wineries. Her love and support for her family was evident to everyone who knew her and she especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

Donna is survived by her husband, Geza Egersdorfer, Sr. of Cuyahoga Falls, OH; children, Geza (Cindy) Egersdorfer, Jr. of Cuyahoga Falls, OH and a daughter, Lenke (Don) Carson of Maquoketa, IA; 3 grandchildren, Karysa Carson, Jamisen Egersdorfer and Alexey Egersdorfer; brothers, Budd Riffle of Latrobe, PA, Ralph (Sandy) Weller, Jr. of Stalhstown, PA; and a sister, Patricia Ann Weller (Charles "Bud") Hutter of Ligonier, PA. She was preceded in death by her mother, her step-father, brothers, Roy Riffle and Kenneth Weller, and a sister, Betty Weller Ross.

A celebration of Donna's life will be held at 5 P.M., Saturday, February 12 from the Clifford Shoemaker Funeral Home, 1930 Front Street, Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, Chaplain Joseph Lee officiating. Friends may call from 2 P.M. on Saturday until the time of service. Cremation rites will be accorded and a private burial will be held in the Chestnut Hill Cemetery, Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio.
