KENT -- Donna L. Felmly, 67, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on April 7, 2011. She was born in Akron, OH, on November 29, 1943, to Orville Riley and Jessie Freeman Riley. She grew up in Northampton where she met her devoted husband and soul mate of 47 years, David C. Felmly. Retiring in 2006 from KeyBank, she ended her successful and varied career.
Donna loved spending time with family and friends, whether it be swimming, boating and camping at Berlin Lake, OH, or jeeping in the Arizona mountains. Her jubilant laugh and free spirit will live with us forever.
As a long-time member of Stow United Methodist Church, she was strong in her faith and put herself in God's hands.
Preceded in death by her parents, she is survived by her husband & daughters, Pamela M. Edwards of Brimfield and Rebecca L. Felmly (Candice Shoemaker) of Chandler, AZ; grandchildren , Michael & Elizabeth Edwards; sisters, Janet (James) Gee of Plano, TX, and Terrell (David) Evans of Denver, CO; nephew, Mark (Susan) Gee of Plano, TX; nieces, Michelle (Doug) Thompson of Auburn, WA, Stephanie Evans of Los Angeles, CA, and so many other relatives and friends.
Calling hours at Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home, 1930 Front St., Cuyahoga Falls OH, 44221 on Monday April 11 from 5 to 8 p.m. Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 12 at the funeral home, Pastor Rick George officiating. Interment at Stow Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Cornerstone Christian Church, 1531 Ettle Dr., Barberton, OH 44203. Food provided after burial at Cornerstone.
