Doreen A Staats

Doreen A. Staats, 80, passed away on March 9, 2025. She was born and raised in Camden – Dover Delaware. She then moved to the Cuyahoga Falls area in 1969. Doreen loved to serve people. She served for 29 years in the kitchen at Country Place Nursing Home now known as the Altercare of Cuyahoga Falls. Doreen loved family gatherings and to tell stories. Her faith was very important to her and she was a lifelong member of multiple Methodist Churches in the Cuyahoga Falls area.

She is preceded in death by her parents Edward and Mary Louise Jones and her sister Mary Jane Jones.

Doreen will be missed by her husband of 60 years Leonard; children, Lisa (Duane) Shroyer, Jeff Staats, Jason (Kim) Staats; grandchildren, Jessica (Xavier) Breiding, Dillon (Emily) Shroyer, Dakota (Julia) Shroyer, Ryan Staats, Gwyneth Staats, Joshua Staats, Ashley Staats; great-grandchildren, Davis Shroyer, Evalyn Breiding; and many other family and friends.

A visitation will be held on Friday March 14, 2025 from 11am to 1pm at the Clifford Shoemaker Funeral Home, 1930 Front Street Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio 44221. Immediately following the visitation at 1pm there will be a funeral service also at the funeral home.
