CUYAHOGA FALLS - Doris E. Fetterman, 92, passed away peacefully September 19, 2013. Born in Hamilton, Ohio, she resided in Cuyahoga Falls almost all of her life. Mrs. Fetterman retired from Kmart, where she worked after her children left home. She was an active member of United Presbyterian Church, where she served as a Deacon. She loved living in Cuyahoga Falls and until the last few years met her high school classmates for lunch quarterly. Doris had an absolute passion for travel and was at her happiest on her many journeys. She traveled throughout the United States including trips to Hawaii and Alaska, as well as multiple excursions to Europe including visits to Italy, England, France, and Switzerland. Doris spent the last two years of her life being wonderfully cared for by the exceptional staff at Rockynol Retirement.

Doris was preceded in death by her parents, Jess and Minnie (Wright) Hughes; her beloved husband, Earl Fetterman, Jr., and brother, Richard Hughes. She is survived by her children, Barry (Jo Ann) Fetterman, of Bainbridge Island, WA, and Bonnie (Rick) Jenkins, of Burbank, CA, and her brother, Robert (Jean) Hughes of Duxbury, MA.

Visitation will be held on Monday, Sept. 23 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at The Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home, 1930 Front St., Cuyahoga Falls. Friends may also call on Tuesday, Sept. 24 from 10:00 am until time of Funeral Service at 11:00 am at the United Presbyterian Church, 2819 Hudson Dr., Cuyahoga Falls, OH. Rev. J. Ross Slaughter will officiate, and burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery. Memorial contributions, if desired, may be directed to her church in her memory. Services entrusted to Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home, 330-928-2147.
