Dorothy Benson

CUYAHOGA FALLS -Dorothy M. Benson, 92, passed away Sept. 12, 2011. Mrs. Benson was born in Buffalo, NY, had resided in Cuyahoga Falls most of her life and graduated from Cuyahoga Falls High School in January, 1937. She had been Secretary for the Ministers of Music for the First United Methodist Church of Cuyahoga Falls where she had been a member for over 75 years and was a member of the Cuyahoga Falls Women's Club and a 50 year member of Falls Chapter 245 OES.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence E. and is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Lynn Wafler of Canton; granddaughters, Courtney Wafler of Broadview Heights and Holly Wafler of Canton.

A Funeral Service will be conducted at 11:00 am Wednesday, September 14 in The Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home, 1930 Front St. Cuyahoga Falls, Rev. Katherine Osier officiating. Friends may call for one hour prior to service. Private interment will take place at Northlawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of other remembrances, memorials may be made to The Laurels of Massillon, 2000 Sherman Circle NE, Massillon, OH 44646 or Hospice of VNS 3358 Ridgewood Rd. Akron, OH 44333.
