STOW- Dorothy (nee Briggs) Garman Dinsmore, 91, passed away peacefully at home on September 15, 2014. She was born in Akron and resided in Northampton Township most of her life. Dorothy worked for General Tire for 23 years and was a charter member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church, the Daughters of the American Revolution and The Grange. She enjoyed playing cards with the "gang" and spending time with her friends and family. She will be greatly missed by those who knew her.
Preceded in death by her husbands, Phillip Garman and John Dinsmore; she is survived by her children, Karl (Susan) Garman of Akron, Marcia (John) Zorn of Grapevine, Texas, Debbie (David) Reynolds of Alpharetta, GA, Cheryl Shaw of Lakeside, CA; and grandchildren, Lauren and Merideth Garman, Stephanie Zorn, Jeff Zorn, Nathan (Amanda) Adey, Carl (Sue) Adey, John Reynolds, Erin (Adam) Connor, Stephen Shaw, & Holly (Randy) Hanslick; great-grandchildren, Cole, Pierce, Lyndee and Grayson; and many many dear friends. The family would like to express special thanks to Grace Hospice of Cuyahoga Falls and caregivers Barb and Sandy.
Memorial calling will be held one hour prior to an 11 AM memorial service on Friday, September 19, 2014, at St. Luke's Lutheran Church, 2121 6th St. Cuyahoga Falls, OH, 44221. Pastor Bob Linsz will be officiating the service which will celebrate her 91 wonderful years of life. In lieu of the other remembrances memorials may be made to St. Luke's Lutheran Church. Services entrusted to Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home & Crematory, 330-928-2147.
