Dorothy Moser

Dorothy Ruth Moser, of Charlotte, NC and previously a long-time resident of Cuyahoga Falls, OH passed away peacefully on June 20, 2021 at the age of 92.  Ruth was born on March 4, 1929 in Pittsburgh, PA, one of three daughters of Thomas and Margaret (Speelman) Powell.  Ruth was a graduate of Crafton High School, class of 1947. She retired from Sherwin Williams in 1997, at which time she moved to Charlotte, NC to be near family.  Organizations Ruth was involved with over the years include First UMC Womens Circle, Volunteer Elementary school librarian, and PTA board for Cuyahoga Falls Schools.  In her spare time, Ruth enjoyed bowling and pottery.

Along with her parents and sisters (Florence and Louise), Ruth was preceded in death by her loving husband James, and sons Gary and Jeffrey Moser.

She will be dearly missed by her children, Darlene (James) Berry and Brian Moser; grandchildren, Sarah (Brandon) Melton, Marshall and Maggie Berry, Katelynn, Kristin, Michael and Mallory Moser, and Jack Moser; great-grandchildren, Tyler and Collin Melton, and many extended family members and friends.

A service will be held at 2:30 pm on Saturday, June 26, 2021 at Rose Hill Burial Park Chapel 3645 W Market Street, Akron Ohio 44333.  (Please meet at the main cemetery entrance).  Memorial Donations, if desired, may be made in Ruth’s honor to Good Shepherd United Methodist Church, 13110 Moss Road, Charlotte, NC 28273, or to Hospice of Charlotte, 7845 Little Avenue, Charlotte, NC 28226
