Dorothy Senn

CUYAHOGA FALLS- Dorothy A. "Dottie" Senn, 83, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on February 1, 2014. Dottie was born in Cuyahoga Falls. She graduated from Cuyahoga Falls High School in 1948, attended the University of Akron and graduated from Peoples Hospital School of Nursing in 1951. She worked as an RN at Akron General Hospital, in the private sector with Dr. Van Fossen and later retired from Fallsview Psychiatric Hospital. She was president of Toastmasters and PTA. She volunteered with the Red Cross and the Cuyahoga Valley Art Center. She shared her sense of humor, love of art and caring wisdom with many and will be greatly missed.

Dottie was preceded in death by her parents, Grant and Josephine Reagle; brother, Grant Reagle II and sisters, Eileen Kammer and Margaret Jacobs. She is survived by her children, Dale Jeffrey and Debbie of Akron, Grant David and Sharon of Doylestown and Dianne Jimerson of Florida; grandchildren, Valerie, David, Michael, T. J., Brandon, Naythan, Kelli and Stacy and 12 amazing great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Friday, Feb. 7 and from 1:00 to 2:00 pm Saturday Feb. 8 with a funeral service to follow at 2:00 pm at The Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home 1930 Front St. Cuyahoga Falls. Interment will be at Oakwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Falls Firefighters & Community Society, P.O. Box 1002, Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44223.
