Dorris Caruso

CUYAHOGA FALLS -Dorris J. Caruso (nee Henderson), 85, passed away January 1, 2009. Mrs. Caruso was born in Sims, IL to southern farming people, and there lived the first twelve years of her life. She then moved to Akron, Ohio with her parents and had resided in Cuyahoga Falls most of her life. She had worked in sales for J. C. Penny for 18 years, was a charter member of St. Eugene's Catholic Church, the Friday Bridge Club and the IHM Bridge Club.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Victor Caruso, her mother, Anna Belle Lobb and her father, George Henderson; also preceded in death by her sisters Mary Lou Lance (Bruce) and Helen Thompson, and is survived by her daughter, Vickie Jean Caruso Waller of Cuyahoga Falls; sons and daughters-in-law, Leonard (Ginny) of Ravenna, Martin and Diane and Andrew and Kathleen all of Cuyahoga Falls and Michael and Kathie of Toledo; grandchildren, John (Beth) Waller, Anne Marie Waller, David Waller, John Caruso, Jim (Glenna) Caruso, Lisa (Rob) Sivec, Julie (Andy) Paratore, Marc (Monica) Caruso, Elizabeth Caruso, Andrew Caruso II, Isabel Caruso and Daisy Caruso; and her 15 great-grandchildren.

Friends may call from 4:00 to 8:00 pm Sunday in The Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home 1930 Front St. Cuyahoga Falls. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 am Monday in St. Eugene's Catholic Church. Interment Oakwood Cemetery.
