Douglas Cozart, Sr

Douglas A. Cozart, Sr., 53, died August 4, 2010. Mr. Cozart was born in Akron where he had resided his entire life. He had worked as a welder/fabricator for Condor Welding, had served with the Army National Guard and was a member of the North Akron Eagles.

Preceded in death by his grandson, Jayden VanMeter, he is survived by his wife, Tonya; children, Jenelle (Michael) Smith, Kera VanMeter, Douglas Cozart Jr. and Katie Cozart, all of Akron; granddaughters, Hailey, Chloe and Mariah; mother, Judy Cozart; father, Russell Cozart Sr. and brothers, Russell Cozart Jr., Todd (Jen) Cozart and Clay Cozart.

A Funeral Service will be conducted at 11:00 am Friday, August 6 in The Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home 1930 Front St. Cuyahoga Falls where friends may call beginning at 10:00 am Friday, August 6. Interment Hillside Memorial Park. In lieu of other remembrances, memorials may be made to the family c/o the Funeral Home. Arrangements handled by Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home, 330-928-2147.
