Dr. George Davis

Silver Lake- Dr. George D. Davis, 91, passed away March 29, 2016. He was born in Cuyahoga Falls and resided in Silver Lake. George served his country in the U.S. Army during WWII. He was the head of the Speech Pathology and Audiology Department at the University of Akron for many years.

Preceded in death by his wife, Rosemarie; He is survived by his wife, Joy W. Exy; sons, Edwin M. (Linda) and Stephen G.; daughter, Cynthia Lynn Davis; Gay Lin Gorden and Gloria Gorden Sharp; 3 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday April 5, 2016 at Oakwood Cemetery 2420 Oakwood Dr. Cuyahoga Falls, OH, 44221.

In lieu of other remembrances memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association P.O. Box 96011, Washington, DC, 20090. Services entrusted to Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home and Crematory, 330-928-2147.
