CUYAHOGA FALLS - Earl L. Royer, 86, passed away peacefully August 1, 2009. Earl was born in St. Petersburg, FL and resided in Cuyahoga Falls most of his life. After attending Cuyahoga Falls High, he served in the Army Infantry during WWII and then was employed by the City of Cuyahoga Falls as a Water Treatment Plant Operator until he retired. He was a life member of CBIVA (China -Burma- India Veterans Assn), Disabled American Veterans, Cuyahoga Falls Historical Society, Hampton-Falls AARP, PERI (Public Employee Retirement Inc), and the First United Methodist Church of Cuyahoga Falls.
He will be sadly missed by his wife of 63 years, Alice Lee; daughters, Linda Freshwaters of Cuyahoga Falls, Peggy Lane of Tallmadge, Marsha (Jim) Henry and Liz Royer of Cuyahoga Falls; 7 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
Friends may call Tuesday, Aug 4, 2009 from 4-7 p.m. at the Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home, 1930 Front St., Cuyahoga Falls, where a private funeral service will be held Wednesday, Aug 5.
