Edgar Staats

Edgar Earl Staats, 89, of Cuyahoga Falls, passed away on December 4, 2021.  Edgar was born on May 10, 1932 in Sherman, West Virginia, the son of Denzil and Garnett Staats.  Edgar was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having honorably served during the Korean War.  He retired as a crane operator from Babcock & Wilcox with 41 years of service.  Ed loved to golf, and he enjoyed all sports and camping.

Edgar was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Celinda Greathouse; great-grandson, William Wesley Huxtable; siblings, Noel Dean Staats, Beverly King and Barbara Sulentich.  He is survived by his daughter, Brenda (Darrell) Dillon; grandchildren, Shaun (Carrie) Huck, Deann (Bill) Huxtable, Mark Kidd, Tim (Jen) Kidd, Charles Stroup (Christina Miller),  nieces, Marie Gibson-Glossom, Beth Richmond, Lori Cunha, Patty (George) Cocke and Candy King; nephews, Denny Gibson and Billy Sulentich and countless grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and beloved family members.
