Edith Kovalck

CLEVELAND HEIGHTS – Edith Irene Kovalck, known to family and friends as Edie was born on February 14, 1966 in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio. She passed on Monday July 20, 2020. She was an avid photographer, ensuring every moment of life with friends and family was captured, from camping trips to before and after pictures of home projects.

Edie earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in communication from the University of Pittsburgh. She became a professional photographer, had a keen eye for detail, composition, and emotion. Over the years and as Logan got older, she became active in the Boy Scouts of America. She recruited new members, led Cub and Boy Scout events, camped in every type of weather imaginable, and encouraged and motivated each scout to earn their badges on time. She worked her way up to being a Scout Master. She was filled with pride when Logan earned his Eagle Scout award.

Edie always saw the potential of her friends and family, assisted everyone in the best ways she could, and seldomly asked for help. She was determined and passionate to do things her way and found ways to make the impossible possible. She enjoyed hosting parties, finding a great shopping bargain, and was the perfect gift-giver to her loved ones.

Edie was the beloved daughter of Bonnie and Victor Kovalck (both deceased) and she is survived by, her son Logan, daughters Shatara, Jamee, and Jasmine, her brother Stanley, six grandchildren, who bought her great joy and fulfillment. Each of them will fondly treasure memories of their adventures and craft projects. She leaves behind other relatives and dear friends.

She was a loving friend to many, a compassionate mother who made sure Logan was always taken well care of. We will forever cherish our memories.

Friends may call from 1-5 PM on Sunday July 26, 2020, where a funeral service will be held at 10:30 AM on Monday July 27.
