CUYAHOGA FALLS- Edna Mae Harvey, 98, passed away January 30, 2024. Born April 19, 1925, in Mitchell, South Dakota to the late Hiram and Sudie Vail, Edna moved to Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, in 1948. After graduating from Kent State University, she taught elementary school in Silver Lake Village and Tallmadge.
Edna was a member of High Street Christian Church in Akron, and, in later years, she was a member of First United Methodist Church in Cuyahoga Falls.
Edna was an avid bridge player who valued the many friends she made at her bridge clubs. She also treasured music, encouraging and supporting her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren in their endeavors. Edna was also a devoted Cleveland baseball fan for over seventy years.
Edna was predeceased by her husband of 69 years, Robert H. Harvey and by her daughter, Shirley. She is survived by her children, Patricia Lukosavich, Robert L. Harvey, Pamela Kenik, Wendy Medley, and Robin Chimento. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
Private burial services will be at Northlawn Memorial Gardens in Peninsula, Ohio.
