CUYAHOGA FALLS -Edward N. Authenreith, 88, died June 21, 2007. Edward was born in Akron and was a longtime resident of Cuyahoga Falls, graduating from Cuyahoga Falls High School in 1937. Ed was a true patriot of Cuyahoga Falls in his love for the city and its people. He had operated the warehouse for Fullerton Red Ball Moving Company for 20 years and had previously worked for Eclat Rubber for many years. He was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church. A Veteran of WWII, he served with the U. S. Army in India and Burma, receiving two Bronze Stars, the Victory Medal and Good Conduct Medal. He was a big fan of OSU football and wore scarlet and gray on game days. Locally, he loved the Lady Tiger High School Sports and attended as many of their games as he could and brought them candy.
He was preceded in death by his son, Bruce Rounds and is survived by his wife, Hilda; children, Roger (Patti) Rounds and Terry (Dave) Bickel; grandchildren, Kim Rounds, Dana Cianciola, Scott (Wendi) Rounds, Chuck (Cyndi) Bickel, Laura (Chuck) Smith; adopted granddaughter, Lisa Fazenbaker; great-grandchildren, Tricia, Hannah, Joshua, Jacob, Jonah, Kristen, Adam, Zach, Devin and Audra.
There will be no calling hours. A Memorial Service will be conducted at 10:00 AM Wednesday at John's Episcopal Church 2220 2nd St. Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44221, The Rev. Allen Belton officiating. In lieu of other remembrances, memorials may be made to St. John's Episcopal Church.
