CUYAHOGA FALLS - Edward H. Brink, Jr (78), passed away at his residence on December 22nd, 2010 after a 2 year battle with ALS. Mr. Brink was born in Waterloo, Iowa spending his youth in Osage, Iowa and residing in Cuyahoga Falls for 37 years. Mr. Brink served in the United States Army from 1954 to 1956 and graduated from the University of Iowa in 1959. He retired from Bridgestone/Firestone Inc. (his first employer out of college) as a Manager in the Quality Assurance Department after 35 years of service. Mr. Brink has been a member of St. Eugene's Catholic Church since arriving in Cuyahoga Falls.
Ed is survived by his wife of 52 years Beverly; children: Michael Brink and his wife Jamie their two children Jessica and Marshall - Brimfield, OH; Kevin Brink and his wife Michele their two children Kelley and Jordyn - Smithfield, VA; Alan Brink and his wife Stephanie - Seville, OH; Karen Gall and her husband Robert their two children Bryan and Audrey - Solon, OH. His Sister Helen Angell and her husband Glen - New Hampton, IA, their children Valerie, Tim, Dan, Steve, John, Kenny, Elizabeth and Chrissy.
The Family will greet friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Sunday, December 26 at Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home 1930 Front Street, Cuyahoga Falls. A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Eugene's Catholic Church 1821 Munroe Falls Avenue Cuyahoga Falls, 11:00am Monday, December 27.
