CUYAHOGA FALLS – Edward Coyle, 76, passed away November 17, 2018.

He was born in Brooklyn, NY and raised in Ithaca, NY, where he attended Cornell University. He completed his degree in graphic design at R.I.T. in Rochester, NY. Edward and his family resided in Cuyahoga Falls for the past 20 years. In addition to owning/operating an advertising agency alongside his wife, he was an avid photographer. Edward impacted many students and patients through his work as a Reiki Master Teacher. His volunteer work at the Sophia Center at Ursuline College was particularly important to him. Singing was a passion of his, from High School Glee Club to recent involvement in local choirs such as the Cuyahoga Falls Community Chorus, Akron Derbytown Barbershop Chorus, and the Crooked River Chorale.

Preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Doris; and son-in-law, John Cook; he is survived by his wife of 46 years, Christie; children, Aaron (Keong-ah), Jason (Traci), Allison (Jonathan) Grimes, Jana Cook (Andre Foti), and Colleen (Rich) Miller; nine grandchildren; and brother, Richard Jr. (Linda).

Memorial calling will be held from 4-6 PM on November 21, 2018 at the Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home 1930 Front St. Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44221. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Cuyahoga Falls Community Chorus, 2852 9th St. Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44221. Services entrusted to Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home and Crematory, 330-928-2147.
