CUYAHOGA FALLS - Edward F. Hazle, 92, passed away March 6, 2008.
Born in Akron, Mr. Hazle lived his entire life in the area. He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the Army. Ed was a C.P.A. and the founder of E.F. Hazle Accounting in 1956 in Cuyahoga Falls (which is now Crabtree, Tissot, Hazle and Co.). He was past president of Central Cuyahoga Falls Kiwanis and a member of Bethany United Church of Christ, where he served on the Church Consistory. He was also an avid bowler, golfer and fisherman.
He is survived by his daughters, Kathleen (John) Crabtree of Akron and Gretchen Hazle of Cuyahoga Falls; sister Olive H. Devine of Akron; and many nieces and nephews.
A private interment will be held in Chestnut Hill Memorial Park on Saturday March 8, 2008. A Memorial Service will be held at Bethany United Church of Christ, 1235 Broad Blvd., Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44223 on Saturday March 15, at 10:00 am, Rev. Stephen Gehlert officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the E.F. & Iva Hazle Scholarship Fund at Bethany U. C. C.
