Edward Schadle

Akron - Edward A. Schadle, 93, passed away May 11, 2016. He was a life-long Akron resident. Edward was a WWII veteran serving in the U.S. Navy in the Pacific Theatre. He retired from Firestone Tire and Rubber Co. after 43 years of service. Edward was a member of the Y-K Rod Club, he truly enjoyed spending his time there and being with the other members.

Preceded in death by his wife, Pearl; and daughter, Darlene; he is survived by his children, Karen (Brian) Ulrich and Edward (Miriam); grandchildren, Kristi Kocsis, Tyler Ulrich, Erika Schadle and Megan (Matt) Weaver; and many nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held 11 AM on Monday May 16, 2016 at Greenlawn Memorial Park, 2580 Romig Rd., Akron, OH, 44320. A memorial service will be held at 2 PM the same day at the Pilgrim United Church of Christ, 130 Broad Blvd., Cuyahoga Falls, OH, 44221. Rev. Kirk Bruce and Rev. Robert Smith will be officiating. In lieu of other remembrances, memorials may be made to the Autism Society of Greater Akron, 701 S. Main St. Akron, OH, 44311. Services entrusted to Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home and Crematory, 330-928-2147.
