Edwin Jones

Cuyahoga Falls- Edwin A. Jones, 88, passed away June 4, 2014. He was born in Hudson and resided in Cuyahoga Falls and Silver Lake as well as San Antonio, Texas. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy in the South Pacific Theater in WWII. Ed worked for Uniware in Akron for 40 years in Sales and Management, and their Fleet Services. He was a member of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church.

Preceded in death by his parents, James and Madeline; brother, Jerome; and grandson, Brett; survived by his beloved wife, Virginia; 8 children; 18 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and his brother, James.

There will be no calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 AM on Wednesday, June 11, 2014 at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 1905 Portage Trail, Cuyahoga Falls, OH, 44223, followed by a graveside military service at Oakwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations should be made to Hospice of VNS, 3358 Ridgewood Rd. Fairlawn, OH, 44333. Services entrusted to Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home, 330-928-2147.
