Edwin Rodkey

CUYAHOGA FALLS - Edwin K. Rodkey, 81, passed away December 24, 2015. He was born in York, PA and resided in Cuyahoga Falls for the past 40 years. He was a proud graduate of Penn State University, where he received a degree in Industrial Engineering. Edwin retired from Lamson Sessions at the age of 61. He had a kind and serving heart volunteering in his community through both Good Neighbors and AARP income tax services. Edwin was a faithful member of the Grandview United Methodist Church. He was passionate about many things in life including traveling, stamp collecting, reading, bowling, Sudoku and his deep love was his summer home on Devil Lake in Ontario, Canada.

Preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Sara; daughter, Kathy Rodkey; he is survived by his wife of 40 years, Lynn; children, Michael, Susan Upshaw, Mary Ann (Wes) Caskey, Jon, Barbara (Dave) Meadows; step-children, Victoria (Scott) Mathews, Kim (Dan) Coulter, Jeff (Nancy) Vargo and Todd Vargo; 27 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren; sister, Jean Shupp and brother, Robert.

Cremation has taken place and friends may call 1 hour prior to an 11 AM memorial service on Monday December 28, 2015 at the Grandview United Methodist Church 2315 Phelps Ave. Cuyahoga Falls, OH, 44223. Pastor Paula J. L. Koch will be officiating. In lieu of other remembrances memorials may be made to the Grandview Church or Cuyahoga Falls Good Neighbors 1742 2nd St. Cuyahoga Falls, OH, 44221.
