Eleanor Cooper

CUYAHOGA FALLS -Eleanor M. Cooper, 89, passed away June 6, 2011. Mrs. Cooper was born in Mt. Carmel, PA and had resided in Cuyahoga Falls since 1954. She retired from the Akron Board of Education and had worked for Akron General Medical Center and later Dr. Rodgers. She had served with the Army Nurse Corps in WWII and was a member of the Sanctuary of Praise and Chapel Hill Church.

Preceded in death by her husband, Stanley; she is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Lynne and Steven Lavinder of Gurnee, IL; son and daughter-in-law, Ronald and Patricia Cooper of Cuyahoga Falls; grandchildren, Steven Lavinder, Matthew Cooper, David Lavinder and James Cooper; sister, Lorraine Snyder of Bethlehem, PA and many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call from 6-8 PM Wednesday June 8, 2011in The Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home 1930 Front St. Cuyahoga Falls where a Funeral Service will be conducted at 2 PM on Thursday, June 9. Interment Northlawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of other remembrances, memorials may be made to The Summa of Western Reserve Cancer Center, 1900 23rd St. Cuyahoga Falls, OH, 44221.
