STOW - Elizabeth (Mueller) Kausch Jackson, 88, passed away March 4, 2017.

Bettie was born in Bajmok, Yugoslavia September 27, 1928 to parents Anton and Julianna (Pfeiffer) Mueller. Following WWII, Bettie was married to James Kausch, in Germany and immigrated to the US in 1952. One of her proudest moments was becoming a US citizen and Texas resident at the Alamo. Following James death, she married her neighbor, George H. Jackson of Stow in 1984. Bettie volunteered at St. Thomas Hospital as an "Ask a Nurse" statistician for 23 years. She also volunteered as a Sunday School teacher and Altar Guild member at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Cuyahoga Falls. Bettie was particularly proud of her service as a Brownie troop leader for many years. She was a member of Wesley Sunday School class and a knitter with the Prayer Shawl project and a generous supporter of many other mission projects at The First United Methodist Church in Cuyahoga Falls.

Bettie is survived by two daughters; Barbara (Gary) Whitley of Westerville and Heidi (Tom) Altiere of Utica and step-son Tom (Kathy) Jackson of Stow. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Bettie is preceded in death by her husband, James Kausch, husband, George Jackson and three grandchildren, Tara Jackson, Nicholas and Antonio Altiere.

Cremation has taken place. The family will receive friends from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 10 in the Parlor of the First United Methodist Church, 245 Portage Trial, Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44221 followed by a Celebration of Life in the Sanctuary, Dr. David Baker officiating. Final resting place Crown Hill Cemetery. In lieu of other remembrances memorials may be made to the Music Department of her Church. Services entrusted to Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home and Crematory, 330-928-2147.
