Elizabeth Skidmore

Cuyahoga Falls- Elizabeth "Sandy" Skidmore, 84, passed away October 23, 2011. Mrs. Skidmore was born in Charleston, WV and had resided in Cuyahoga Falls for 34 years, moving here from Tallmadge. She retired at the age of 74 from the U. S. Post Office having worked as a letter carrier and in data entry and had previously sold real estate with her late husband, Chuck. She was past president of the Lady Elks BPOE 1923 where she eagerly raised money in the Hobo Auction and participated in many other fund raising activities in the area.

Preceded in death by her husband, Charles C. Skidmore; daughter, Anna Lee; son, Collins Skidmore and brother and sister-in-law, Lee and Ann Kallas, she is survived by her children, Clay (Juanita) Rexrode of Akron, Bill Skidmore of Cuyahoga Falls, Colleen Denise Garry of Mayfield Heights, Jana Marie Townsend of Leonardtown, MD, John April) Skidmore of Bradenton, FL and Steve (Jim) Skidmore of Norman, OK; grandchildren, Melanie, Nathan, Bradley, Danny, Michele, Mandy, Thomas, and Grant.

Friends may call from 4:00 to 7:00 pm Wednesday, Oct. 26 in The Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home 1930 Front St. Cuyahoga Falls where a Funeral Service will be conducted at 1:00 pm Thursday, Oct. 27, Chaplain Marilyn Mihalic officiating. Interment Oakwood Cemetery. In lieu of other remembrances, memorials may be made to the Humane Society, 7996 Darrow Rd. Twinsburg, OH 44087.
