CUYAHOGA FALLS – Eloise Massey Colvin went to her eternal heavenly home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and to reunite with her husband of 70 years Robert William Colvin on December 15th, 2021.
Eloise was born in Akron to parents, James Ezra Massey and Bertha Louise Massey. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and beloved brother, Lonnie Massey. She was also preceded in death by sons-in-law, Earl Thomas Worthington III and Walter Dailey.
She is survived by her children, Robert William II (Myong), James Griffith Colvin, Richard Elwin Colvin (Kimberly) and Claudia Elise Lake Colvin; and sister-in-law, Joyce Massey (Lonnie). Eloise “Ellie’ is survived by grandchildren, Jennifer Katherine Wilkins (John), Daniel Colvin, Rhiannon Lee Campos (Frankie), Walter Dailey, and Morgan Davis. Great-grandchildren are Megan Wilkins, Tristan Wilkins and Hala Campos.
Eloise cherished her family and was caring sole that lived a very blessed life.
She remained friends with anyone deserving of her friendship. Among all the things she loved during her life were babies; never missing an opportunity to admire those she came upon and make the parents feel proud. Also, she seldom missed the opportunity to pet a dog. “Ellie” loved flowers and took pride in her beautiful gardens. She and Bob loved to travel and spent many years in Florida during the winter of their retirement years. There they made many good friends to stay in touch with. If she especially liked you she might reach up and pinch your nose.
Ellie struggled with Alzheimer’s Dementia and her family would like to thank all The Doctors, Nurses, Skilled Nurses and Home Health Workers and Caregivers that cared for her. Also, we thank our considerate neighbors that befriended Eloise and Bob and offered their help and support for our family. The family would also like to give a very special thank you to her son, Jim who cared for her for many years.
She will be missed by her family and friends. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date at the convenience of her family. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home and Crematory.
