Eloise Mathies

CUYAHOGA FALLS -Eloise D. Mathies, 85, passed away May 29, 2010 after a long and courageous battle with old age. Mrs. Mathies was born in Crossville , TN and had resided in Cuyahoga Falls for 55 years, moving there from Akron . She had graduated from North Central High School, had worked as manager of a beauty salon, and was a member of the Church of Christ .

Preceded in death by her husband, Bart R.; daughter, Lisa and sons, Paul "Butch" and Bart, she is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Ted and Judith Mathies of Marlboro; daughter and son-in-law, Teresa and Patrick Smith of Cuyahoga Falls; grandchildren, Paul Mathies Jr., Julie Carlile, Bret Paul Mathies, Brent Richard Mathies (Breeze), Zack Smith and Cortney (Justin) Davis and great-grandchildren, Ryan Mathies, Trey Carlile, Kevin Carlile, Aaron Carlile, Damian Smith, and Madison Davis; sister and brother-in-law, Bonnie and Roger Russell of Marietta, GA.

Friends may call from 5:00 to 7:00 pm on Tuesday, June 1st in The Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home, 1930 Front St., Cuyahoga Falls, where a Funeral Service will be conducted at 7:00 pm, The Reverand Kenneth Bieber officiating. Interment will be in Rose Hill Burial Park at the convenience of the family.
