MUNROE FALLS – Emma White (Uveges), 97 passed away peacefully on May 8th, 2021. She was born Oct. 20, 1923. The daughter of John and Agnes (Racz) Uveges in McKeesport, PA. Emma lived in the Stow, Munroe Falls area the majority of her long life. The last 4 years at the Mulberry Gardens in Munroe Falls. Her family would like to thank all of the associates for taking such good care of her. Emma had a joy for crafts. She liked to sew, crochet, make ceramics and especially knit. Everybody at one point in time received a pair of her knitted slippers at Christmas. She was an excellent cook and made the best chocolate Devil Cakes called “Cow Patties”. Emma was asked quite often to make them. She was always there to support her family at all functions and activities. Emma was a member of Holy Family Catholic Parish in Stow.
Preceded in death by her husband, Robert A. White. They were married 74 years; also 5 sisters and 4 brothers. She will be missed by her daughter, Barbara (Dave) Cvengros; son, Rick (Leslie) White; grandchildren, Jeff (Jenny) Cvengros, Donna (Jeff) Brink, Alexandra (Brandon) Pauley, Steven White and Meredith White; great-grandchildren, Noah Cvengros, Rebecca Cvengros, Tyson Cvengros, Zach Brink, Abby Brink, Josh Brink, Vivienne Pauley and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12 PM on Friday May 14 at Holy Family Catholic Church, 3179 Kent Rd. Stow, OH 44224. She will be laid to rest at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery with her husband. Memorial contributions should be made to Holy Family Catholic Church.
