Ernest Milan

Ernest Anthony Milan, 86, died February 23, 2011. Mr. Milan was born in Akron, graduated from Cuyahoga Falls High School in 1942 and had resided in the Akron area most of his life. He retired in 1986 as an engineer in machine design for Goodyear Tire and Rubber and had previously been general manager for Bellows Valvair in Akron. He was an avid golfer and was a charter member of the Silver Lake Country Club and a Veteran of WWII having served with the U. S. Navy in the Asiatic and Pacific Theater.

Preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Ursula Rose (Pedone) Milan; brothers and sisters, Frank "Sonny" Milan, Marie Lautz, Muriel Burnham and Donald Milan and his previous wife, Elinor "Pat" Milan, he is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Christine Ann and Melvin Jordan of Le Canto, FL; sons and daughters-in-law, Gary and Judy Milan of Hudson and Thomas and Barbara Milan of Silver Lake; grandchildren, Lisa Pozzi (Mike), Tina Jordan, Matthew and Melissa Milan and Kathleen Fink (Ryan), David and Jeana Milan and 2 great-grandchildren.

The Family will greet friends from 4:00 to 6:00 pm Thursday, March 3, in The Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home, 1930 Front St., Cuyahoga Falls where a Memorial Service will be conducted at 6:00 pm Thursday, March 3.
