CUYAHOGA FALLS - Evelyn E. Bailey, 84 went to be with the Lord March 28, 2009.
Mrs. Bailey was born in Salem, Ohio and graduated from West High School in Akron where she was one of Ohio's first female cheerleaders. She resided most of her life in Cuyahoga Falls where she worked for Evans Saving/Key Bank, volunteered for 25 years at Cuyahoga Falls General Hospital and was a member of Cornerstone Community Church.
Preceded in death by her husband, James, she is survived by her children, Patricia Lightner of Akron and Bill (Denise) Bailey of Firestone Park; special son and daughter-in-law, Jess and Dolores Lightner of Akron; grandchildren, Christie(Walter), Laurie, Rachelle, Shannon, Jackie and Troy(Rhonda); great-grandchildren, Jimmy, Jessica, Christopher, Levi, Shannon, Ava and Christopher; special great-grandchildren, Lee and Ashley; brother, Edward and David Butcher of Salem; sister, Carolyn Cleveland of Salem; sister/cousin, Betty Hite of Barberton and many nieces nephews and friends.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday in the Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home, 1930 Front St, Cuyahoga Falls, where a Funeral Service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Pastor Marc Wolff officiating. Interment Chestnut Hill Cemetery.
