Evelyn Greene

OAKWOOD VILLAGE - Evelyn Greene, 86, passed away April 23, 2018. She was born in Cleveland and resided in Oakwood Village for the past 66 years. Evelyn was an amazing mom, grandma, great grandma and friend. As an independent person always on the go, Evelyn was someone that you could always depend on. She spent her time giving to the people she loved. Whether it was making us our favorite foods, canning the fall harvest or figuring out what items to use to complete the latest creative project we were working on, she was there full of love and wit. She always looked for the humor in every type of situation.
She played basketball in high school and still enjoyed the game. She liked watching the Cavs and tried hard to support the Browns. She loved going to support and also hearing about all the children's sporting events. Earlier in her career of being a fantastic mom she also enjoyed working for the Bedford School System as The Lunch Lady. She was a member of the Summit Lapidary Club and Akron Mineral Society for over 35 years. She and her husband Russ went on numerous adventures with all their wonderful friends from The Club. Evelyn was loved by so many far deeper than words can express and will be missed by all for a very long time to come.
Preceded in death by her husband, Russell; son, Timothy and grandsons, David Scott Greene and Charles David Ard; she is survived by her children, Russell (Nicki) and Samual (Debbie),Ted (Corinne), Starr Lau (Patrick), Amber Greene (Mark Hembree); 17 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren.

Friends may call from 3-6 PM on Sunday April 29, 2018 in the Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home 1930 Front St. Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44221, where a funeral service will be held at 1:30 PM on Monday April 30. Interment All Souls Cemetery.
