CUYAHOGA FALLS - Evelyn Vance, 96, passed away November 18, 2010.
Mrs. Vance was born in Terre Haute, Indiana and had resided in Cuyahoga Falls since 1944 moving there from Akron. She was a 1932 graduate of North High School and had worked as office manager for Dr. Richard Stahl. She was a member of the Women of the Moose Cuyahoga Falls Chapter 918, American Legion Charles Faust Post 281 Aux. and Bethany United Church of Christ.
Preceded in death by her husband of 59 years Arthur; brother, Lowell Green, sister, Shirley Hall, and great-granddaughter, Elizabeth Beres, she is survived by her children, Jacquelyn (William) Borgen of Tiffin, OH, Sharon (Robert) Ward of Akron and Judyth (Darrell) Rogerson of Canada; twelve grandchildren, Bob, Tom, Jim, Tammy, Wendee, Michael, Lisa, Derek, Sherrie, Todd, Susan and John; 17 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Dorothy Vance, brother-in-law, Donald Vance and many nieces, nephews and friends.
The Family would like to express special thanks to the staff at Chapel Hill Community, Hospice of Medina and Drs. Chaffee and Clavecilla for their exceptional care and concern.
Friends may call from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 23 in the Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home, 1930 Front St, Cuyahoga Falls. A Memorial Service will be conducted at 11:00 am Wed. Nov. 24 in Bethany United Church of Christ, 1235 Broad Blvd, Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44223, Rev. Stephen Gehlert officiating, following a private interment service at Chestnut Hill Memorial Park.
