Florence Risser

CUYAHOGA FALLS -Florence C. Risser, 87, passed away January 21, 2006. Mrs. Risser was born in Akron and had resided in Cuyahoga Falls the past 55 years, moving here from Kalida, OH. She had been co-owner of Falls Welding Service and was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary and previously St. Joseph's where she belonged to the Alter and Rosary Society. She was also a member of the Akron Post Polio Support Group and attended the Quirk Center.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur J. and sister, Alice Mong and is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Patricia and Peter Cowan of N. Canton and Mary Alice and Michael Rosenberg of Denver, CO; daughter, Rita Jean Risser of Cuyahoga Falls; son Richard Risser of Indianapolis, IN; grandchildren, Chadham (Alison), Brigham and Nicholas Cowan and great-granddaughter, Zoe Leigh Cowan.

The Family will receive friends from 3:00 to 5:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 pm Tuesday in The Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home 1930 Front St. Cuyahoga Falls. Mass of the Resurrection will be 11:00 am Wednesday in Immaculate Heart of Mary. Final resting place Chestnut Hill Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to Akron Post Polio Support Group, c/o J.
